Do I need to bring my own gun to the class?
For the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting class you do not need your own handgun or ammunition. We provide 100 rounds of .22LR ammo and your choice of either a Walter PPQ .22LR semi-automatic pistol or a Ruger Mk IV 22/45 also a .22LR semi-automatic pistol. Both are excellent examples of a semi-auto with ease of function and very low recoil.
If you take the Basic Firearm Handling Safety class various non-guns and real guns will be provided. If you wish to include your firearm as part of the safety training, it will need to be carefully inspected prior to entering the classroom as there is a strict No Live Ammo In the Classroom policy which must be adhered to.
For the Handgun Cleaning Workshop you will need to bring your gun, but again, leave all ammo at home. The strict No Live Ammo policy is in force.
When attending a Range Time Coaching session
please bring your gun and ammo in separate containers.
Please do not bring any guns to a Firearm Purchase Consultation.
Thanks
